“This is the most exciting time that I’ve seen in cancer drug discovery in the past 30 years. But we still have a lot of work to do here.”
Meet Matt Hiznay. Six years ago, when Matt was studying to be a doctor, he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Today, his cancer is in remission and he’s working towards his PhD. His goal is to become a medical researcher, finding new targeted therapies that will take on cancer.
Recently, Bob and Matt had the chance to meet, and Matt had the opportunity to thank Bob on behalf of the team that is working develop drugs to help cancer patients.
“When we have patients come and visit, it’s incredibly motivational,” said Bob.
